In case you didn’t know, I’m the oldest of four (actually, almost five) siblings. My mom is expecting a baby girl this fall, and we’re all really excited!
Because “baby sister” (as we’re calling her right now – we haven’t picked a name yet) will be sharing a room with me and Emily (who is two), we’re going to need to figure out how to fit another bed+ more storage into our room. Here are some of my ideas!
Bunk Bed w/ Trundle
We’ll probably need to get a bunk bed anyway, but a trundle would be cute + a future bed for “baby sister” if necessary. The ones with drawers are adorable too! Another thing I love is that you can separate them into two beds, which would be great someday 🙂
Storage Cubes
I’m thinking about getting some of these for the closet (right now the closet is pretty crazy) and adding some cute baskets.
Colors
I love these colors because they’re bright and fun, but I might add some light pinks as well.
Cactus/Cacti
Cacti (that word is SO weird) are so cute and I’d love to incorporate them somehow… maybe sheets like in the picture above? I’m not sure!
Do you share a room with a sibling (or two!)? Do you have any ideas for me?
These are great ideas, Christina! ❤ I share a room with my two year old sister, so we've had to fit her bed in the room as well as some of her toys and stuff. 🙂 One thing that really helped me to adjust to sharing a room with her (I had gotten to have my own room for a while before that, but after my youngest sister was born, we had to change stuff up), was to section off the room as much as possible, which designated whose stuff goes wear. So, in our room, Elizabeth's crib and bookshelf are on one side of the room, and my bed, desk, and bookshelf are on my side. The one thing that's in the middle is the entertainment center, which kind of bridges the gap, haha. The square organizer you shared a picture of is a great way to organize things! That can help a lot in closets 🙂 Wow this comment got long, haha, but I hope my advice helps!

Oh my goodness Maggie this is SO helpful! That’s so cool 🙂 I had my own room for a while, but when my two year old sister was born, we had to change things too. I’m a little scared about trying to fit three people in one room, but I *think* we can figure it out! Thank you ❤

I love all of these ideas! My two sisters and I share a room with two twin beds and a loft. A new baby sister is so exciting! Do your parents have any names picked out?

Oh cool!! How old are they in relation to you? They are letting us help, my personal favorites are Sophia and Lucy but I’m not sure what theirs are.

I’m seven months older than one of them, and five years older than the other. Lucy is such a pretty name!

I am so glad I DON’T share a room. My sister and I aren’t super into the same stuff and we’d probably fight more than talk.

Oh congrats on getting a sister! Also I really like your ideas! My brother and I share a room and one year my dad built us a trundle for Christmas. It has worked really well for about 2 1/2 years now, so those are always super great! 😀
