CHRISTMAS BUCKET LIST (COVID SAFE!)

As I’m sure we all know, this year has been different than anything we’ve ever experienced before. Since a lot of things have changed because of covid, we can’t do all our traditions or fun christmas activities that we normally do. Because of that, I decided to make today’s post a fun christmas bucket list, but everything is covid safe and things you can do at home πŸ™‚ love you all and I hope you have a wonderful christmas! stay safe ❀

decorate your room

I decorated my room for christmas and it makes me feel so festive! You don’t even have to have a tree (mine was $20 at walmart and I love it), just add a fun christmas pillow or throw blanket, light a christmasy candle, and voila!!

make a christmas playlist and turn up the volume

This is literally so easy to do but it’s so fun! Add all your christmas songs to a playlist and turn the volume all the way up. It gets you in a festive mood for sure.

make christmas cookies

I think most people did this every year even before covid, so it’s nice to have that sense of normalcy in an otherwise abnormal season. This is also a fun family activity and little kids love helping decorate the cookies :))

do a gingerbread house decorating contest with your family

This is also something fun you can do with your family! This year we bought a little gingerbread house village (five tiny houses) and I’m so excited to decorate them with my family. You can even do it over facetime with your friends if you want to!

read luke 2

Obviously this will not mean much to you if you are not religious but if you are a Christian this is definitely something you can do! Luke 2 is the story of Jesus’ birth, which is the real reason we celebrate Christmas. My family does this every year on christmas eve and it is a great way to remember the true reason for the season ❀

donate to people in need

This is something you can do every year, but especially this year, with so many people getting sick and losing their jobs, this is very important. We have so much to be grateful for in our lives and I’m sure you have something that you can share with others. While a lot of places where you can volunteer are temporarily closed, you can still help those in need from the comfort of your home. One option is toys for tots! You can do this right from your computer or phone and it only takes a few minutes but it will mean so much to a child this year.

Will you be doing any of these things? Have you done any already? I forgot to mention – something else you can do is make a yummy cup of hot cocoa :)) super easy and festive! let’s chat in the comments below ❀

MY WINTER ESSENTIALS | COLLAB WITH AINSLEY

Hey friends! I am SO EXCITED for today’s post (I say that every time, but I really have been looking forward to this post for a while). It’s a collab with Ainsley, whose blog is super cute & I’m obsessed with all her posts. We’re both sharing our winter essentials so make sure you check out her post :)) Even though it doesn’t get too cold here in Florida I definitely have several essentials for this season.

beanie

Beanies are so cute and they’re perfect for when your hair is greasy or you’re having a bad hair day hahaha.

cozy sweatpants

Sweatpants are one of my favorite things in my closet!! They’re so cozy and soft and perfect for days when you want to feel like you’re in bed all day.

fuzzy socks

Gotta keep your feet warm too! These are so cute and I wear fuzzy socks all the time so they’re definitely one of my essentials for the winter season.

oversized sweater

I love an oversized sweater because you can just throw it on to warm an outfit up or add something fun to it. Plus it’s super comfy and soft and can even make sweatpants look put together.

comfy blanket

Perfect to curl up with while you hold a mug of hot chocolate and watch a christmas movie. I absolutely love these blankets and they’re one of my essentials year round if I’m honest.

carmex

If you go buy only one thing on this list, buy some carmex!! Your lips will thank you, I promise. I don’t know about you, but my lips get so chapped in the winter weather and I hate it. Carmex is super cheap but it works so well and I put it on every single morning. You can keep it in your backpack, purse, makeup bag, literally anywhere!

starbucks of course

I had to add this because if you know me or have read my blog for a long time you know I absolutely love coffee any time of the year. Iced coffee is literally my bestie I’m literally craving some right now (but it’s 7 pm sooo probably shouldn’t have it hahaha).

Go check out Ainsley’s blog and give her a follow!! What are your winter essentials? Let’s chat in the comments below ❀

Idea 1: T-Shirt and jeans

This is SO comfy and also really casual. A thanksgiving t-shirt would be super cute!

Belle Lily has a ton of cute thanksgiving themed shirts on their site. They’re really inexpensive and they also have a Black Friday coupon code right now, so definitely check that out. Here are some of my favorites:

How cute would any of those be with jean and ankle booties? It’s super effortless too! They also have a ton of long sleeved options for all of you lucky ones who actually have a temperature change during the fall season.

Idea 2: Sweater Dress

Sweater dresses are GENIUS! They’re a great choice for thanksgiving too.

This sweater dress (picture credit) is a great idea! It mixes sweaters and dresses so well. This is the perfect choice if you don’t want to wear jeans.
