hello & welcome to christina raquel β€ i hope you enjoy this post and don’t forget to leave a comment below and share with your friends if you like it!
as you may have noticed, a lot has changed around here. first of all, i redesigned the blog and it has a whole new look/feel to it (i’m obsessed) and changed the url/blog name. this is something I’ve been wanting to do for a while but just hadn’t gotten to.
when I started blogging on this blog over almost 4 years ago, the main focus was photography… hence the name “christina and camera”. since then the focus of this blog has shifted over to lifestyle/health/wellness and i wanted the name to reflect that! since I don’t share much photography content on here anymore I decided the name was a little misleading.
nothing is really changing except the blog design (which was due for a change anyway) and site name! I’ll still be sharing the same content as usual π
make sure you follow our pinterest and instagram accounts for even more fun content & i’ll see you guys next week for a new post!
Well… looks like I took an unintended break for the month of May from blogging! May was a very busy month for me but now that school is over for the summer I’m hoping that I’ll be able to keep up with posting at least once a week.
i planned on doing a photo dump for april but I obviously didn’t get to it so I’m going to combine photo dumps for april and may in this post π
heyo friends!! I wanted to share a little photo dump from this last month. I hope you guys had a great month & are having a great friday β€ let’s chat in the comments below!
heyo friends! today’s post is a little different because I wanted to take a little break from my normal content and just chat with you guys!! introduce yourself in the comments below and share your current (or all time) favorite song, last book you read, favorite account to follow on social media, favorite podcast, and favorite snack π
First of all, happy new year to everyone in the christina and camera family! I love all of you and know God has amazing things in store for you β€ Here’s to 2021!
When this is posted, there will be 3 days until 2021, which is crazy. This year has been different than anything any of us have ever experienced, but there have also been many good memories that we’ve made. Today I just wanted to recap the year :))
merry christmas, friends! I hope you have a wonderful day celebrating, hopefully with your loved ones. love you all and don’t forget the real reason that we celebrate β€
As I’m sure we all know, this year has been different than anything we’ve ever experienced before. Since a lot of things have changed because of covid, we can’t do all our traditions or fun christmas activities that we normally do. Because of that, I decided to make today’s post a fun christmas bucket list, but everything is covid safe and things you can do at home π love you all and I hope you have a wonderful christmas! stay safe β€
decorate your room
I decorated my room for christmas and it makes me feel so festive! You don’t even have to have a tree (mine was $20 at walmart and I love it), just add a fun christmas pillow or throw blanket, light a christmasy candle, and voila!!
make a christmas playlist and turn up the volume
This is literally so easy to do but it’s so fun! Add all your christmas songs to a playlist and turn the volume all the way up. It gets you in a festive mood for sure.
make christmas cookies
I think most people did this every year even before covid, so it’s nice to have that sense of normalcy in an otherwise abnormal season. This is also a fun family activity and little kids love helping decorate the cookies :))
do a gingerbread house decorating contest with your family
This is also something fun you can do with your family! This year we bought a little gingerbread house village (five tiny houses) and I’m so excited to decorate them with my family. You can even do it over facetime with your friends if you want to!
read luke 2
Obviously this will not mean much to you if you are not religious but if you are a Christian this is definitely something you can do! Luke 2 is the story of Jesus’ birth, which is the real reason we celebrate Christmas. My family does this every year on christmas eve and it is a great way to remember the true reason for the season β€
donate to people in need
This is something you can do every year, but especially this year, with so many people getting sick and losing their jobs, this is very important. We have so much to be grateful for in our lives and I’m sure you have something that you can share with others. While a lot of places where you can volunteer are temporarily closed, you can still help those in need from the comfort of your home. One option is toys for tots! You can do this right from your computer or phone and it only takes a few minutes but it will mean so much to a child this year.
Will you be doing any of these things? Have you done any already? I forgot to mention – something else you can do is make a yummy cup of hot cocoa :)) super easy and festive! let’s chat in the comments below β€
