This post is going to be so fun for two reasons! Number one, I’ve always wanted to do a day in my life post and I’m finally getting around to doing it. Number two, this is a collab with one of my best blogging friends Zainab. She’s also sharing a day in her life, so go read her post here (:

My days are usually pretty busy and I don’t spend a ton of time blogging during the week (I write a lot of posts on saturdays – i’m writing this on a saturday in fact haha) but I’m going to share a typical school day in the life for me. My school is in person which I love but it also means I have to wake up early 😦 This will be super real/a totally normal day!

I wake up around 5:50 or 5:45 every morning depending on what time I set my alarm for. After doing my skincare and brushing my teeth I spend time with God, usually reading the bible, praying, and sometimes journaling as well.

I then get ready for the day, which usually doesn’t take me too long! I haven’t really been wearing makeup to school often and recently I haven’t been using as much heat on my hair just to let my hair/skin breath. We also wear a uniform (and I lay out my clothes at night) so I don’t have to pick out my outfit for the day.

Most days I will eat breakfast. Since it’s about 6:30 in the morning I’m usually not very hungry but I do try and eat something so I won’t be hungry later. I eat a lot of different things for breakfast (read my post here on easy, simple, and delicious breakfast ideas!) but recently I will either have cereal, make an egg, peanut butter toast, or yogurt.

We leave for school at 7:05 and I usually get home around 4:15. We live pretty far away from school (30 minutes without traffic) so that’s why we have to leave early and don’t get home until later. As soon as I get home I usually fill up my water bottle and have a snack then practice violin for 15-25 minutes. I am really trying to make that a habit, it can be really hard to be consistent with practicing but I play so much better when I practice obviously!

Next I do any homework/projects and study for any upcoming tests or quizzes. Depending on the amount of work I need to do, this takes me between 20 minutes to 2 hours. I have been trying to do a little bit each day for bigger projects or assignments that are spread out over several days. If I don’t have a lot of homework I usually spend this time working on blog stuff!

This year, I have been sectioning off about an hour to an hour and a half each evening where I just spend time with my family! I try to start this at about 6 pm, and during this time I eat dinner, do devotions with my family, and try to be off of my phone and everything so that I can fully spend time with them.

At about 7 or 7:30 I head back upstairs to do my workout! I have been trying to workout every day (except sundays… girl needs a break) for at least 15 minutes and sometimes up to an hour. For the past few days I’ve been doing Holly Dolke and Sami Clarke’s workouts and they have been so good. I always feel so good after I get my workout in even if I don’t really want to do it.

Obviously after getting all sweaty I need to shower, so I do that and get dressed in some comfy clothes/put my hair in a bun and do my skincare. Unless I have any major homework I haven’t finished or a really important test to study for, I try to not work on schoolwork or anything, and keeping it to a specific part of the day has been really helped my productivity.

I usually spend time on my phone/instagram for the first time all day during this time which honestly I am so happy about because I used to spend 2+ hours on insta and now I really only spend 20-40 at the max! This year we have to pack our lunches because the lunchroom is closed due to covid restrictions, so it’s super important that I do this every evening.

Honestly for the rest of the night I just chill/read/go on instagram until about 9:30 when I head upstairs and brush my teeth and go to bed! This girl needs her sleep and I actually love going to bed early (haha i’m such a grandma lol).

anyway that’s a day in my life (: it changes day to day but most days are like that to be honest! I don’t blog every day (mostly on saturdays like I said) but for example I’m finishing up this post at about 5:30 pm on a school day right now! I didn’t have a ton of homework so I’m spending my time on my laptop 🙂

  1. This was so fun to read!! 💖💖 I love seeing what other people’s everyday lives look like.
    I usually get up around 5:00-5:30 a.m. to get a head start on school…I can do school anytime I want since I’m home-schooled. 😀 I’ll eat breakfast around 7:00 a.m., then do school until 12:00 p.m. Then I’ll eat lunch, and usually I’ll finish school around 2:30 p.m. I usually help with my younger sisters or dinner, read, blog, do some extra school, or clean after I finish for the day.

      1. Awww, I always wished I had a lot of siblings. Having a big family always seemed like so much fun to me especially like the Weasleys in HP:) I have two siblings so, not that much😂

  2. I love this post, your day in your life sounds very similar to mine. For the most part I get up around 6( earlier if I can) and I also do my devotions and prayer in the morning! Hahaha, I’m also such a grandma because I’ve always self inflicted a bed time for myself. I usually like to go to bed between 10 and 10:30 so, I’m amazed your in bed by 9:30!

  4. Thanks so much for collabing with me again girl, I love it when we do! 💗 oh my I never wake up at 5! I love how you do everything so productive! Omg I used to work out every day in quarantine but my school has been giving so much homework, I have no time 😂 I really need to go get back into it! Great post as usual girl!!

    1. aw thank you!! I’ve really been working on it over the summer 🙂 something that really helped me with it was staying off my phone for most of the day!
