Working out… honestly, does anyone really love it? I mean, I love how I feel afterwards (most of the time), and it relieves stress and benefits your body, but sometimes it’s just not fun. You feel me? Since it’s summer and most of us have a few extra minutes in our day, now’s the perfect time to get stronger and make exercise a habit.
Recently, I’ve been working out in the morning, and it’s honestly so much more enjoyable! In this post, I’ll be sharing 4 reasons working out in the morning is the best and I’ll also feature a free workout planner I made just for this post. My hope is that you feel encouraged to pick up this habit if it’s not been a priority in your life recently, and if it has, to be encouraged and keep it up.
Honestly, this is one of the main reasons I like working out in the morning! Once it’s done, it’s done, and I don’t have to think about it for the rest of the day. I can go have fun and not worry about if I’ll be able to fit it in later. Plus, checking something off your to do list before 9 am is pretty nice. You’ll feel super productive and on top of the game!
This is huge! Working out will boost your mood for the rest of the day, and you’ll feel way more positive and happy. Plus, you’ll feel way better if you start your day by moving your body instead of scrolling on social media (been there, done that!)
This might not apply to everyone, but if you live in Florida or somewhere hot like I do, once it passes 9 am it’s way too hot to do anything, including work out! Even if you do it inside, it’s crazy hot and makes it feel so much harder. I much prefer working out, especially running since I don’t have a treadmill, around 8 am! It’s much more bearable and I enjoy it so much more.
This is another thing that’s super important and a benefit of getting your workout done in the morning! When I wake up early in the morning to work out, I don’t have time to convince myself that it’s not worth it or that I should just skip the workout. When I do my workouts later in the day, I have time to procrastinate actually doing it, which just ends up wasting a ton of time!
I also created a free workout planner for you! You can save this to your device and write on it if you have an ipad and apple pencil, or you can print it out and write on it or even laminate it for use with a dry erase marker! As usual this is 100% free so you don’t have to sign up for an email list or follow me on anything to get it. Just right click or hold down on it and click “save image” to download it to your device. I hope you enjoy 🙂
I hope this post motivated you to get a workout in (even if it’s a short one, and try it in the morning, I promise it’s better!) If you have any comments or questions please leave them below!
